Plants for sale are between 5″-16″ tall Each Iris I offer is Hybridized and grown from tissue cultures to be a disease free exact replica of the mother plant. Iris Ann Chowning boasts intense velvety red flowers with deep yellow signals. Its velvety texture and evergreen foliage can create a backdrop to any landscape. Its height of 36” and a width of 18-24” can be used at borders or ponds. Blooming from spring into summer, ‘Ann Chowning’ would be an attractive backdrop for any garden. It is an easily grown Iris.

Iris Ann Chowning Plant Care

Soil requirements and planting instructions

First, mix together the following:

  • 60 percent potting soil
  • 20 percent peat moss
  • 20 percent coarse sand and a handful of perlite

Then, place this mixture in a pots, beds or garden and plant your Spuria Iris.

When planting Spuria Iris in the landscape plant at 2′ apart. Proper site preparation ensures years of growth and once established they will not require weed control.

Additionally, Soil Ph should be around 6.0-7.0.

Light conditions and Zoning

When making a site selection keep your plant in an area that has bright direct light.
