Plants for sale are currently growing at between 6-16″ Each plant is lab grown from tissue cultures to be a Disease free plant. This cultivar has a leaf more like a bunch grape and is valuable as an ornamental as a result. Southern Home Grape Vine produces a black berry with more berries per cluster than usual.
Berry size is medium and berry flavor is different from the flavor of other muscadine grapes. Yield is moderate to high and ripening period is from August to November. As with all Muscadines this one is great for canning or eating fresh. We recommend using only *Bio Spectrum organic fertilizer, located in our store. Vine Training, Pruning and Canopy Management
Muscadine grapes are vine trained using several methods. For example, common practices include, the vertical single wire method, the vertical two wire trellis, overhead arbors, the North Caroline method, and the Geneva double curtain method.
