Plants are between 4-8″ tall. Each plant is a hybridized selected variety grown from tissue cultures to be a disease free exact replica of the mother plant. Pineapple Plant Gold Hybrid is a smooth leaf variety with an excellent sweet flavor. The plant size of this species has stopped it from making it into commercial applications, but for the home garden this strain is the perfect choice. Produces a whopping 6lb pineapple with an edible core!! Great all around garden species of pineapple. Leaves arise from a tight rosette. All around great variety. Plant Care
Pineapple plants grow best in moderately fertile, sandy loam soils of neutral to mildly acid pH. Plants will grow satisfactorily in sandy and calcareous soils with attention to watering and fertilizer.
Grow Pineapple plants in well-drained soils and areas of the landscape that do not flood. Place this mixture in a pots, beds or garden and plant your Ananas comosus.

This species of Ananas comosus is hardy at zones 9b-11.
