Plants are between 6″- 16″ tall “They grow fast!!”. The fruit of Blueberry Plant North Country is medium sized and enveloped with a waxy bloom of attractive blue color. However, the flavor of the fresh fruit is sweet mild, typical of the lowbush blueberry Quality of the processed fruit is equal or superior to Northblue, Northsky, and popular highbush cultivars.
Mature plants of Northcountry are 18 to 24 inches high and 30 to 40 inches in diameter. Productivity of Northcountry normally ranges from 2 to 5 lb. of fruit per plant. Under optimum conditions 8 year old plants can produce up to 7 lb of fruit. The ripening period begins approximately 5 days earlier than Northblue and extends for 2 to 3 weeks. We recommend using only Bio Spectrum organic Fertilizer located in our store.
North Country- Fall Color: Red and Orange, Season: Early Mid, Zone 3-8, 1.5′ to 2′ tall. An extremely productive half-high bush, no pollinator required.
How to grow Blueberry Plant North Country
Soil requirements and planting instructions
Mix together the following:
- 90 percent Sphagnum peat moss
- 10% perlite
Place this mixture in a pots, beds or garden and plant your blueberry. Proper site preparation ensures years of growth and once established they will not require weed control. Soil Ph should be around 4.9-5.5.
Light conditions
When making a site selection keep your plant in an area that has bright sunlight.

If using drip irrigation keep the soil evenly moist.

Feed this heavy feeder every three weeks during the spring through mid summer with an acidic fertilizer.
